Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. This helps in the sustainable use of resources and reduces the plastic content in the environment. The brushed surface in is easy to clean. It corresponds to the color of the hansgrohe special surfaces for fittings (FinishPlus). So everything fits perfectly together. Easy to install. The shower door handle is placed on the door from the inside and outside and fastened with two screws. The hole spacing is approx. 13.8 in; the Diameter of the drill hole is approx 0.5 in. The glass thickness can be between 0.25-0.5 in.

Bought two of these as a Frankenstein solution to make another brand of single hole faucet (that came without any cover plates) work with my pre-drilled 3-hole counter tops. The cover looks pretty good with the modern style chrome faucet it was paired with and it does a good job being a cover for the most part.... For me, the lack of attachment mechanism cost it one star. It doesn't have any way of securing the sides to the counter so when the faucet is tightened down it causes the ends to bow up about 1/8th of an inch on each side.
