I had one of these from another box store, and the holes were larger, so grease got through. I love this brand, so had to get it when I saw it was on sale. I fried some chicken and put it to use, and have to say the only time any grease wound up on my stovetop was because I removed the splatter guard to take these photos. Beautiful Crucible knob is an easy way to elevate any piece. I have it here replacing a signature gold tone stainless steel knob on my deep teal Dutch oven. The knob feels substantial and makes it easier to grip the lid. I have attached photos comparing the before-after.
