This Dog Bed has it all. Innovative "convertible" design features a water-resistant base bed and removable top panel - perfect for outdoor use, dog houses, vehicles, garages, porches, and lanais. A water-resistant base pet bed is manufactured with a coated poly canvas fabric to help protect the filling from weather and moisture. The padded quilted top panel zips on and off to better cater to your pet's preferred form of comfort. Don't need the top panel or just want to wash up quickly. Simply unzip to remove. The top panel also acts as a pocket for cooling or heating pads. The mattress core is topped with a layer of insulating memory foam that contours to your pet's figure for improved body alignment and joint relief; the base features a medical-grade solid foam core for better support and value. Low profile, step-on design for easy access by older or disabled pets. Easy to clean. Cover care: Remove from the core before washing (see seam label for fabric care instructions). Foam care: Memory foam is highly absorbent. Spot clean with mild soap or enzyme-based cleaning spray. Rinse but do not soak or submerge. Press out moisture with a dry towel and air dry. A fan may be used to speed drying. Do not wring or place in a machine dryer. Dry completely before use. Not for unsupervised use by animals with chewing behaviors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddog loves this bed. I do too with the ease of taking the top off to wash it and putting it back on. It washes nicely too. The only issue I have is that he "fluffs" up his bed and has torn the threads on the quilting top. I clipped them and hope that the top will still be washable after the threads have all been pulled out. If not for this, I would give it a 5 star rating.
