Also, sides this steep can be uncomfortable if you aren't planning on sitting up. Might need a cushion. I purchased a 9 foot, solid cypress, antique door for my powder room and was looking for a knob and plate that wouldn't look too small on such a tall door. I think this size backplate is perfect for a tall door. I'm very pleased with the quality. It's heavy and feels very solid. My only complaint is that I ordered oil-rubbed bronze, expecting there to be some variation in color, but the knob is actually flat black, in my opinion. But, I'm still happy with it!. Rhonda.
