They are indeed very very heavy and arrived in two different packages which was only annoying b/c then I had to get people twice to bring them in, versus just once but two trips at the same time. I just thought that part was odd. They haven't been installed yet so I need to update my review once that happens. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. This shower door is everything a person could ask for. I love that it is tempered glass and shatterproof, making it a safe option. The components are stainless steel and coated so as to never rust. It does glide very smoothly. One of my favorite parts is that it can accommodate some variance in widths, rather than being engineered to fit down to a fraction of an inch as some are.
