We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. Ella’s Monaco is vacuum formed from a solid acrylic sheet. Under the shell is a rust proof, stainless steel frame reinforced with multiple fiberglass mesh and gelcoat layers. The Monaco’s main feature is the U-Shape Outward Swing Door made with industrial grade durable plastic composite material with a decorative tempered glass front screen to conceal the mechanical door lock system. It opens outward, facilitating an easy entrance/exit. The door uses a gear and shaft driven 3-latch door lock to provide you with a safe, leak-free bathing experience. The Monaco comes with our unique Ella Dual Drain Technology consisting of two 2” gravity driven drains with four 2” outlets, 2 overflows and 2 openers, allowing a fast, reliable drain. The Hydro Massage System includes: a hydro pump with an in-line water heater, eco-friendly ozone sterilization system, intensity dial control, and strategically positioned hydro jets. The Ella Monaco has 15 strategically placed hydro jets in order to deliver optimal therapeutic relief: 9 upper fixed jets work to provide relief to your back, hips and thighs, and 6 lower adjustable jets massage your feet and calves. The 5-Piece fast-fill faucet has: 2 temperature levers, a diverter lever, a mounted faucet and a pull out multi-functional hand shower. The hot/cold lever controls the temperature and the third lever diverts water between the mounted faucet and hand shower. It has a fill rate of 18 GPM, based on plumbing conditions.
