Had it professionally installed. After initial installation opted for a custom top bracket to connect the two glass pieces attached to the walls, and add extra support to the glass, which technically it does not need. The installers were professional, efficient, and did a great job putting everything together. With a large piece like this, having it assembled correctly made the whole experience completely stress-free. We have kids, so storage and durability are huge for us — and this has handled daily use easily. It’s not a piece you have to “baby.” The color matches our decor beautifully, and it feels like something that was far more expensive than it actually was. Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work..
