The iBox Universal Plus Rough is designed to make renovations and new installations a breeze – “one rough fits all” is the motto of the iBox rough-in valve. Once installed, the universal rough is compatible with all standard Hansgrohe and AXOR shower trims, enabling a wide selection of finish and functional options. Configure your ideal shower experience with Hansgrohe’s single-rough solution supplying water flow to multiple outlets (showerhead, tub spout, handheld shower, etc.). Select your desired thermostatic or pressure balance shower trim kit (and diverter, if needed) to pair with your universal iBox shower rough-in valve. Rubber seals and trim carrier plate reduce in-wall vibrations and minimize noise transfer through finished wall. Standard 3/4-inch pipe inlets. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. Bread pudding, banana bread and brownies for the family and keto versions of these treats for myself. Everything bakes beautifully in this and releases very easily. When I tried to return it cause I dont want to deal with nonsense, they want to make me pay for shipping. Very shady practices. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
