This Carrier is just PHENOMENAL! We have a 9 month old domestic shorthair who comes along on car rides with us several days a week. We Googled "animal carrier with clear plastic top" because we dearly wanted to have a good view of him AND wanted to be able to safely interact with him as we travel. When we used his original kitten carrier, it was more like putting him in jail. We couldn't get a good look at him, and the "door" was just metal bars. This gorgeous round Space Capsule Carrier fits purrfectly with his desire to snuggle down into a donut shape. A couple of the pictures with Wayfair's listing made me think that the rotating front was "frosted" and not clear. VERY happy to report that the front is crystal clear and lightly tinted. And the moveable front also has about 4 stops or stages, so that the door doesn't slam down loudly or unexpectedly. Do not hesitate to order this! We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
