UPDATE : this couch was a torture trap however I was determined to get use from it. I removed the back feet (because it pitched forward) i replaced the back cushions with kingsize down pillows, but then the back was too low. The back is just a metal bar with fabric over it and the pillow slips through, no actual support! I went to the hardware store and purchased two pieces of plywood: 27x29”, then I covered them with the hard foam from the original cushions then I used a staple gun to upholster black micro fiber blanket (60x70”) cut in half, to the plywood which I attached with 4 med hinges to the base and inside the”killer” bar. (I do NOT recommend using micro fiber, but I made it work). The couch is now custom and deluxe in comfort and the upgrade was only $52 more! To think I actually considered throwing this in a land fill!! The plywood serves as back support as well as headrest! Yay me. This is a great interim couch. Pretty easy to put together, I could have used some help but I was able get it done myself. I like how versitile it is. You can divide it up or leave the arms off of either side. (Just have to disguise the holes on the sides with a throw blanket if you do). But it gives you more arrangement options throughout the yr. Also you can buy some deluxe throw pillows and disguise the quality. The one thing you really have to consider is it looks navy blue in the afternoon light and blk in the evening. The color is so pretty!!! Like it’s if rainforest green and Satin-like hues had a BABY!!! Like OH MY GOSH!!! I love it so much, and it’s just so annoying that the pictures don’t do it justice!! Also, the pillows swole up pretty nicely. They’re not plush soft which i like, but they are a bit strong when newly opened, so that’s there too, but i don’t mind that either. The setting up was pretty seamless, they did forget to add a set of pieces needed but when i let them know, they got them sent to me in like 3- 4 days or so, which wasn’t too bad . Overall it took about 2 hours or so, probably less, to set it up by myself. It’s my first big girl couch for my new apartment so i was really excited about getting something that fits the whole idea i have for the space and it just EATS!!!! A big tip i’d say is to wait until the end of the assembly, when you start super tightening all the screws and stuff, then you’ll really see how STURDY this thing is! Really love this chaise lounge! It is extremely comfortable. Its like having a second bed. Its my dog's favorite piece of furniture too. I was able to build it by myself. It wasn't hard. It comes in two huge oversized boxes tho that weigh 90ish pounds each. The cushions immediately puffed up for me. The only thing i was a little disappointed on is it doesn't look like the picture. I like the style a lot! For the price it really Is a nice set, sits deep. Perfect for a small space. I have it in my studio apt! Doesn’t look uber cheap. Removing a star because it is emitting a chemical odor.. have only had it for a day or so so hoping that goes away once aired out. But if you have respiratory issues I can see this being a concern..
