Both my partner and I sat on the bench while it was fully extended and it was very study. Although it was packaged pretty well, my item still came damaged on the bottom. The chairs look great and are comfortable. Although the chairs are great now that they’re assembled, we ordered 4 packs, 3 of which had broken or missing pieces. The agents were accommodating in helping sort it out, but it took several calls and was a big headache. Love the look of the table and chairs. Not sure of the quality or how well it will hold up but it does look nife with a very slight white wash. The chair legs seem to be different lengths and there is no height adjustment so it make chairs wobbly. The table came with a nick in the tap but could not return as I needed the table for a certain day. Items were sent in 3 different boxes from 3 different locations on 3 different days and that cost my company extra time to be there for the delivery and assemble on different days. Wayfair sent wrong item at first then it took an extra two weeks to get the correct bench and HOURS on the phone with customer service on about 5 differnt calls because they could not get things right. I needed item for a Open house in a week of when I ordered but the bench took 3 weeks after order to get it and if I new this I would have never ordered it. This bench is perfect for my needs, I wanted extra seating for a superbowl party, but didn’t want the discomfort of folding chairs. The seat is a little taller than my kitchen chairs, but wide enough for two full adults, the back feels sturdy enough that you can actually lean on it.  It is firm and not very cushioning, but I am very happy with it.  Assembly required a phillips head screwdriver in addition to the allen key that it came with.
