It took my husband about a half hour or so to assemble - and most of that was spent unboxing. Was looking for a basic, attractive platform bed for a new king size mattress we purchased. This fit the bill perfectly. Pretty straightforward to assemble, though I did use my cordless driver with a hex bit to speed things up. But the included allen wrench worked fine. I cannot give this enough stars - such an easy assembly although two people recommended for ease. It IS a heavy delivery box (we had to unload the box and haul piece by piece up a spiral staircase to get it to the room) but when all put together it is so sturdy, no noise, beautifully simple piece..
