These carpet tiles definitely transformed the little foyer in our home! We wanted to cover up the outdated, ugly, ceramic tile flooring that was there previously. So happy with the end result! The colors in the carpet tiles were exactly as described. This type of pattern will be great at hiding all of the foot traffic as well. I will say, it took us a while to get all of the tiles in place (measure twice, cut once definitely comes into play here!). Also, there’s a roll of sticky tape included, but you will probably need to get an additional roll of tape (we did, but it was worth it!). One tip Use a sharp utility knife. This made cutting the tiles much easier and helped keep the edges clean. We’re already starting on our second box of carpet tiles to cover up the ceramic-tiled landing as well! It’s looking good!. Darker is better if you have small pets as a lighter color will show more of the foot traffic. November 19,2020 - I wanted to write back and tell everyone that this is even a better carpet than I thought as we had an issue with an item we purchased elsewhere (outdoor heater) and the item we purchased was defected and started a fire when we plugged it an outlet to use. Sparks flew out of the items cord... instead of the carpet going up in flames it just scorched it and didn't go up in flames (see photo). Exactly what we were looking for to use in our unfinished basement. Mostly shades of blues and greys, as the picture shows - we ordered 8 boxes to have an overage and leftovers for future use. I actually used these tiles to redo the carpet on a set of dog stairs. I used upholstery tacks to fasten the squares to the stairs, so the glue didnt matter as much to me, which is a good thing. If I were laying these as flooring, I would have been very disappointed in the adhesive. It had barely any stickiness to it at all. I also didnt care for the texture (reminds me of astroturf) and it appears to have shiny threads scattered throughout. The carpet is very, very thin, so I wouldnt use it in a high traffic area, either.
