Because I am past the 30 day product window, I am told there is no resolve from company, so I have to purchase a lock to replace and have handyman return. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. Also did a row of cinder blocks, which required a little customizing where the door fit in the wall. Hinges are continuous from top to bottom to prevent sagging. Smartside siding is treated to prevent fungal decay and insect infestation.

The exterior walls are so thin that I would never recommend stapling a vapor barrier on the interior because the Staples come through on the outside even if they are very short. The frame beams are twisted and crooked, overall it is a poor quality kit. The instructions are easy, however the quality of the wood is very poor. I thought I was getting a good deal but I was not.. This shed is nice! It’s not what I expected but so far it’s been good. It is very windy where we live and so far the shed has been super sturdy. It is resin and has channels. Not sure how the floor will hold up, but the walls once assembled seem great. Assembly is a lot of prep and it takes 2-3 people. Comes in pretty heavy boxes so be prepared.
