Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA. Reasonably designed and built. - Door frame. The door frame leaves a bit to be desired. Very hard to mount drywall and baseboard and Door trim molding to because there's just not much realestate to run fasteners into. - Door. The door is incased with a Masonite shell. Under the Masonite, the sides are laminated solid wood. The top and bottom are softer masonite like material so, be careful when installing the hardware, this material can strip easy, no second changes. - Hardware. Overall is good though the soft close is a waste of time. Never could figure out how to mount the trigger bracket so, just felt off. - Primer finish. The doors are beautiful. Very good quality. I had no issues with damage or missing screws. The instructions were easy to follow as well. The only issue I had was that I had ordered the 48" x 80" and the doors are actually 48" x 78". This 2" difference is in the details of the description, but I completely missed that part. I really didn't want to undo what I had done and send them back, plus I loved the look. Instead, I used a 2x4, piece of wood, cut to size, spray painted the bottom part black and used 3" screws to screw to the inside of the door frame. I had a really hard time choosing a door because I have a lot of hand milled stained solid wood doors in the house and did not want to add that cost to my spa room. The mirror pocket door was the best choice. I just painted it the same color as the walls to make it blend right in. it made the space feel larger and it was nice to have a full length mirror.. The store is gorgeous and will be a great addition for our new remodel. It was easy to put together and probably just took about 20 minutes. We did use some glue, even though the instructions didn’t say so but my boyfriend likes to make sure things are secure. The glass is not see-through. And opaque so we are using it for a bathroom.
