What started as a “nice-to-have” has turned into a regular part of my routine. The Dual TrueSteam does a great job refreshing clothes that aren’t dirty enough to wash but don’t feel fresh anymore. Jackets, sweaters, dresses —less wrinkled, odor-free, and just feeling clean without using any chemicals. I also deal with seasonal allergies, so being able to refresh things like coats and scarves instead of letting them sit around has been a big plus. It’s way more effective than just hanging clothes up to air out. The MovingHanger actually works and helps steam reach thicker fabrics evenly. The Built-In HandySteamer is super convenient for quick touch-ups before heading out, and yes—it really does remove strong food smells (KBBQ included 😄). I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. As with many handmade items, the exact coloration and carving may vary slightly from clock to clock. We consider this to be a special part of their character. After about 10 seconds of being turned on, the steam started to come out. Makes for a big time saver not having to wait. One this I don’t like it the water tank doesn’t snap or clip in. On/of switch on handle is ideal also (most irons do not have this). Heats up quickly. Big issue, however, is the nearly-impossible-to-fill reservoir located almost under the handle; iron must be off and fully cool to fill, because you have to tilt it, back end up towards yourself, to fully fill it. Good for ironing a garment or two, but an utter nuisance if you have a pile of ironing to get through. Re-engineer the water reservoir opening, and it would be a truly great iron.. C D.
