The drain opening is 3.5 inches in diameter and may require an extended ferrule due to bottom thickness. Style and practicality all rolled into one. Ordered this in a black finish. Arrived as promised. I also ordered a seat since one was not included. I was not aware that a wax ring and mounting bolts were also not included. Although the price was less than the competitors, having to buy the other items made the price more expensive than what other companies offered. Lesson learned make a true comparison before buying..
