This nutcracker looks nice and works fine as a seasonal decoration. It’s okay overall and has a festive look that works well indoors. A few things to know before you buy it’s very light, and I thought it would be a little taller. The battery compartment on the bottom is held on with six screws, which feels like overkill just to change batteries. I’m also not sure how well it would hold up outdoors. Because it’s so light and the battery area is on the bottom, I worry water could get in if it rains. Fine for indoor use or a covered porch if you don’t mind the size and weight. Four stars.. The size is just right and the details are wonderful. I have wanted one of these for 3 years and would pass it by but this year I placed my order and I’m glad I did!!! They stand straight and both are identical in height and everything. They are the right size for inside my home. They are not flimsy and will stand up easy. I believe since I’m going to use them inside, they will stand alone without any sand placed inside. If you are hesitant on ordering, please don’t be because you will definitely not be disappointed.. Well made and sturdy. I initially was a little disappointed when I plugged it in indoors, in a semi well lit room. It looked like the lighting was going to be dim and only Illuminate the top portion.
