I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. I searched forever for an affordable 6 burner gas stove top. Here it is. Upon first installation we had a few issues. 1st was the smell of gas. Had it checked and there was no leak it is the just the smell of the materials used to make it. It was very strong at first. Next issue was that the burners all were set at max power. We had to contact customer service to get a special tool to adjust the burner flames. So everything was burning even on its lowest setting which is another thing Im not crazy about. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. Have this for about 15 months. Using Barkeepers for stainless steel to clean but over time, some spills have become impossible to remove. Any recommendations on other acceptable safe cleaners? I have black stainless steel. The cooktop works well. Too bad the hortizontal piece on which the knobs sit become very hot when the stove is in use. Need to be careful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having cooked on this new cooktop for 6 weeks, I can happily report that I am enjoying it more than I did my Dacor (on which I experienced a scary igniter failure). Some of expressed concern about the arrangement of the burners and their BTU levels, but that is magic in my view. There is so much customization available that it takes a bit of time to readjust what to cook where -- but that's part of the fun in my opinion. The "stops" that exist between levels of flame, as well as the numbers assigned to each, make it easy to remember what number flame to use next time for that purpose. The only worry I have is scratches because the installer caused one near that simmer burner while setting the cap on and of course now that is there forever, sadly. I had to wait for this model to return to inventory, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommend this Bosch Benchmark model for its beauty, sure, but also for its performance and ease of use!.
