This rough valve by Hansgrohe is expertly designed to fit the Axor Starck Rough-in Valve for Starck Shower Column. This valve is required for installation and will not work on any product except the Starck Shower Column.

This is a beautiful set, but not the best for an old house with walls that aren't completely straight. The top of the stable wall is flush, while the bottom is about a 1/2 inch off the wall. It still sits in the bracket, but because it isn't as far back in the bracket, the door is not stable. Other than that, I am very pleased.
