[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this drain for a new bathroom remodel to add to a custom sized shower. I am very happy with the quality and look of it. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. Years ago, we installed a hunter green door with a digital lock in Texas, and it was fantastic. However, we eventually had to replace the digital lock. We also had the option of etched glass, but they decided to stick with standard glass instead, limiting our choices. It's disappointing! As for the long run, tile is a sturdy material; however, grout requires regular care and maintenance to keep its look and integrity long term. Utile walls, on the other hand, offer smooth textures or have realistic and carefree faux grout lines that will not crack!

This is a great shower. One thing - please note that the interior length is around 46.5", *not* 45.5" as shown above. After prep, the installation took just an hour or so. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. It brings incredible amounts of freedom of movement, making it perfect for families with children and grandparents. To help ensure that the shower hose is a perfect length it is included along with many bars.

Installation is extremely simple: the FixFit E is screwed onto an existing water outlet on the wall (size G ½; DN15). After that, any commercially available shower hose can be connected. All hoses with a conical nut will fit into the holder – including shower hoses from the hansgrohe range that are identical in colour also. You can create your own dream bathroom without much effort.
