Bought this to store the pool floats and toys in because I was sick of carrying them back and forth from the garage. Now, most everything fits in it on the pool deck with room to spare for small things. I have four blown up pool floats (one of which is bulky with a unicorn head and tail), a small kiddy pool float, some pool noodles, padel boards, and the deck umbrella. And like i said i still have room to add any smaller items. Very spacious. Fairly easy to put together. I put most of it together by myself. Attaching the lid to the hinges on the box was the final step and I did need my husband to help with this. I had a hard time keeping it in place while I tried to screw on each side. It seems sturdy enough so far. I am worried about how to use it in the winter without mice nesting in it. We had a shed that the mice took over and made super disgusting. So Im not sure that Id store anything in this over the winter. There are spaces at the bottom for air flow that the mice can easily access. Very roomy deck box. Looks nice. Fairly easy to assemble with two people. It's big! The directions for assembling it could be a little better -- small print and not very clear diagrams. My only real disappointment with the box is that rain gets in along the center seam in the top. If I were to do it again, I would buy a waterproof box, not just weather resistant. I use it for storing my sectional cushions, so water getting in was problematic. We remedied the issue by using duct tape on the interior along the seam. Fingers crossed that it holds. I ordered this Deck Box to keep in my garden area for my gloves, garden tools etc. Having in the garden would allow me to keep all my most used tools right in the garden and save me multiple trips to the garage for needed supplies or tools. One concern was that it would not be water proof. That concern is no longer. We had a down pour the next day after I placed this 31 gallon deck box in my garden. I just checked this morning and it stayed completely dry inside. Perfect. This is a great size for my needs, doesn't take up a lot of room and placed in the corner of my garden is out of the way. I’m having trouble writing this review. I thought for sure I had submitted it twice. Here goes and hopefully number three is a charm. I love the deck box. It’s sleek contemporary sturdy. I appreciate the hydraulic lift, but I have found it important to close it applying the pressure directly in the middle. I have not tested the lock, but I’m grateful for that, as I will be storing some valuable items in it while outside. I lost my large shed last month, so this is a lifesaver for me! It seats 2 to 3 people comfortably. With a sleek design, it would nicely fit behind a sofa, under a stairway or even delineate an area. I plan to place it out on my large patio to store cushions a small tool kit and anything else that needs to get put away to avoid clutter. I am planning on using it to store my gazebo canopy this coming winter. All in all, it’s a great deck box and the price can’t be beat.
