Our new Avenco gel memory foam mattress is very good for our 9 year old son’s bed. We ordered a queen to replace his older one, which was way too firm. This new one is just firm enough, but you still sink into the foam a bit. When I lay down on it, I wake up much less sore, because the other one actually hurt my back. Ok, the biggest issue right now is the smell. We are still trying to get that to go away. The directions said to strip the bedding during the day and put a fan in the direction of the bed with a window open. It’s only been four days since we opened it up, so we are crossing our fingers that the smell subsides. Thus, the reason for the 4 stars. For comfort, it definitely deserves 5 stars.. Maureen. By the pictures of the mattress on rv beds in the description and the fact that I searched rv queen mattress , the mattress sent was not even close to what I expected. It is a seat cushion instead of a mattress. That being said I guess I didn’t notice the size. I don’t think I’ll order on line anymore Thanks anyway. Sylvia. Calgary. Thu Jun 25 2026
