It should be noted that each short rod end has a protection ring that must be removed before you screw the rods together. The instructions fail to mention this. Love the lamp! Great quality. Love that the lamps is dimmable. The switch on the pole is ideal for us to reach for the location in the corner where we put it and also appreciated and that the bulbs were included. The only problem was the pole was slightly bent on the end where it connected to the base so it didn’t go in straight but we were able to fix it on our own.
