We got this for my wife and her upcoming hip replacement surgery recovery. Very comfortable chair, not huge, fit's my 5'-1" wife well, well made, sturdy, smooth operating lift mechanism that does not travel as fast as the other Flexsteel reclining furniture that we have. (Not a bad thing, you wouldn't want a lift chair raising you up on your feet too quickly, causing you to loose your balance.) The faux leather fabric has a nice rich feel and actually feels like leather. I assembled the chair myself after delivery. Very simple to do. No tools required. Good directions. Only negative was that the chair was supposed to be delivered by FedEx, but Fedex passed it off to a 3rd party company (probably because of the Christmas surge in deliveries). Had I of not been outside and heard a truck's back-up alarm, the 3rd party deliverymen were about to drop the chair at the street, 200 yds from our house. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design. We looked around for a long time to find this fan! I purchased this fan for my family room. It arrived well packed and quickly. It's been fantastic! I love this fan for it's looks more than any other fan in our home. It's just beautiful, not an eye sore like some fans can be. Transitional, modern, clean. I like the white, it disappears into the ceiling. The gold is a nice touch. It can go in almost any style of room. It elegantly updated my family room. Minka Aire moves the air around well and we really can't even hear it other than the soft sound of air moving. The remote makes it convenient to use and has a lot of nice features. The light is nice although we also have 4 can lights because the ceiling is tall and it was needed due to the size of the room and ceiling height. Still, it is nice to sometimes only have this light on when in the room. It gives off nice light and is adjustable too. Easy to program and works great. This is a second rote for a fan light we have at the top of our stairs landing.
