The 90 gal. size (in some places it says 82 gal.) was just enough to fit 6 dining cushions and pillows. It is sturdy enough for being this light but I wouldn't say this is a heavy duty and sturdy box that will take abuse such as sitting on it or kids jumping on it. I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. I love it! It’s very well made, the assembly instructions are great and it only took my husband about three hours to assemble it. I love the textured laminate since it will be easy to dust. The drawers are a bit “shifty” from side to side, but very sturdy. I use the top for my collection of "chicken pitchers" and the shelf for cookbooks, etc. and the drawers for kitchen linens.
