First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. Set aside a full morning or afternoon to assemble properly. There are lots of steps and nuances to putting this cabinet together. When I read some folks took 6 hours to assemble, I thought it was because they did not have a clue how to assemble something like this. I was wrong. A very skilled person assembled ours and I would say it took about the same. But taking your time makes it look so much nicer. We got the distressed wood one, which at the time was more expensive, but the look was what I was going for. Only downside we did not see the large dent (must have happened in transit) in the top edge until it was all glued and assembled!!!
