My 120 x 117 outdoor metal dog kennel arrived in 2 boxes on the day stated when product was ordered. I am nit able to assemble it due to the snow and ground being frozen. Once complete and set up its a decent enclosure. We got it for our chickens and attached the hen house to it, just left off a couple bars and zip tied the entrance right to it. The instructions absolutely suck and we wound up having to unbolt like 200+ connections to double up the gussets. Now, my wife and daughter got the base started and then asked for my help, I never questioned whether or not they started it correctly so perhaps they missed a step. The door is like waist high to my 6’ frame so it’s a definite crouch to get in there. I can stand in between the “roof trusses”. It has a good appearance and I wonder how it will hold up to the AZ monsoon winds. I used spiral drill in anchors to pin it down, no way the little stakes it came with will keep this in our yard in high winds. I am contemplating what to do in a couple years when the top is sun rotted away, there are only a few trusses to make the roofline and while it looks great, it does not take much to push it off level/plumb. To my amazement, this came in three relatively small, but heavy boxes and we were a few nuts and bolts short but they at least give you a spare parts bag, which had enough to complete the build. Be prepared that this comes in literally hundreds of individual pieces so it can look overwhelming, just follow it step by step and comes together rather nicely, be patient nd take your time. It really is an amazing engineering feat to get this big ole enclosure in these three little boxes. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. I wish the top had the same level of structure (aka bars) as the walls so the fabric top can be optional for predators and when it simply rots away but it would be easy enough to just get some netting and/or a shade later.. Be prepared to spend a day assembling this kennel! It arrived in 3 large boxes, 100lbs each but well packed and lined with wood. All of the various parts are letter coded, the best is that all of the bolts and screws are the same size for the entire structure. The materials are heavy duty, it is best to have 2 people working and holding panels to get everything lined up. My only complaint is the main doors. For some reason the hinges ARE the screws, which doesn’t seem secure or could loosentighten over time. Second is that there is a fairly large gap between the doors and the rest of the kennel where all other pieces are very tight together. I’m using this for chickens and will need to come up with a solution to fill in that gap. All in all, I think this is great quality. It came with ground stakes to prevent the wind from taking it. We got this kennel to use as a chicken brooder and it works great! It's easy to move from place to place yet stable enough to not fall or blow over (with gentle winds). We will probably find a way to anchor it down in case of strong winds. The wire fencing is strong enough to keep predators out. The instructions were not very clear so it was challenging to put together. Some of the pieces were labeled wrong or not labeled at all, but we eventually figured it out. I know this is intended to be a dog kennel and am sure it would work well for them but it's versatile enough to be used for other animals. The 73 x 70 kennel was delivered the day it was supposed to. It came with easy to follow instructions and with 3 people (1 reading instructions and getting parts as needed and 2 putting it together) it didnt take too long to assemble. The quality is a lot better than i was expecting and i love the cover. It looks way better than pictures show. Im excited to use it this spring with some chicks. Couldnt come in more pieces. Its a project, a rather long one. Id advise using a drill that has a torque function and hex bits to put it together. Using the supplied Allen wrenches sounds like a nightmare. That being said once its together its solid enough. Better than using cheap chain link and zip ties. As I plan on a few years of use (through winters) like anything Im going to throw a few cans of spray enamel at it now thats its up, and yeah, A better slide lock for the door.
