Love this fountain! Could use better instructions so I’m adding a few tips about installation 1. Only one cord comes out of the bottom (drawing showed 2) 2. Warm plastic tube w a hair dryer to soften it for insertion 3. There is a (mostly) round plastic cap that should be placed over the reservoir tube (once you’ve snaked the power cord thru) to protect the plug from water. 4. Would recommend putting fountain together indoors. It’s tricky. Also, it weighs 40 pounds without water, so don’t add water til you get it outside and are ready to go. 5. I used clear postal tape to strap the top to the reservoir to keep it secure while moving it out of the house. 6. The cord is about 6’ long but runs the length of the base, leaving 3-4’. Plan accordingly. I placed my unit in front of a window so I could snake the cord under the window and plug it in inside (used an extension cord). 7. I added 2 copper disks to reduce algae build-up.. I think this tabletop fountain is a very good value. I really like the bubbles that are within the glass orb that spins upon the water. Update: I moved the product in more of an open area where the buzz sound isn't so prevalent. I find that our guests are mesmerized by it! It's a great conversation piece. I added a star for that from my original review Previous review: I wanted to really like this, however, the sound the motor makes may be relaxing to others, but the buzz is not relaxing to my ears and more of an irritant. Maybe it is soothing to others. The concrete square doesn’t fit down in the platform so I may turn the platform over, but then worry of the piece gets knocked that the water will go everywhere. As I eagerly awaited the fountains arrival, it was finally here and upon unpacking realized it was missing the pump. Contacted Wayfair which was an overall pleasant experience. I packed it up because waiting for the part would take longer than just swapping the unit. The second unit arrives with no light. I am sure you can imagine my disappointment. I ordered on May 26th and still can't assemble. I have no idea when the light will arrive. 5 stars on beauty of the fountain 1 star based on the headache and lack of quality control makes this not so cheap purchase and overall 3. This is an easy to assemble fountain, producing a soft bubbling sound that cannot be heard at a distance, and a minimal amount of splash.
