Actual palms are notoriously difficult to keep alive. I went through 2 of them before finally deciding to go artificial—one of the best decisions regarding houseplants, especially here in Seattle where there’s limited sunlight a lot of the year. I am in love with these palm trees. I live in Florida and have a few living ones in my yard, but wanted to bring the tropical feeling into my pool area. These are perfect! I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. When it gets super windy I remove the top half of the palms so they won't get damaged. I live in Southern Utah so we'll see how they survive the summer sun. Up close it’s clearly fake, but details at the base are really nice. The base had a good weight so it won’t tip over. The palm fronds are quite difficult to bend but once bent to a shape you want it will stay that way. The packaging was not great and it barely made it here in one piece so that’s a concern.. Jessica.
