I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. Instructions are easy to understand and all parts were received with quick shipping. It comes flat packed as panels, and I wish the arched angle at the top came pre-assembled. Without it, it can be difficult to get the gate doors even (see photo). It’s also very light, so I reinforced mine by driving rebar into the ground and drilling holes out in the feet and positioning the arbor over it. Without doing that, the arbor wants to swing when the gate is open. Now it’s solid. You will definitely want to reinforce it if you plan to grow anything on it. I ordered this gate because my other one stated to fall apart. It was pressed wood and metal and lasted 4 years, so time to replace it. So glad I found this one which is very sturdy and impressive looking! I did hire someone to put it together and install it but worth every penny!!!
