These solar lights are beautiful but I have tried and tried to remove the plastic cover off the solar panel area on one of them. I even read that I could use warm water and that did not work. I also read you can warm it up with a blow dryer and that did not work. I am being extra careful to not damage the surface. These are really pretty and whimsical at nighttime. They should definitely be put in an area that gets plenty of sun to work optimally. The packaging is terrible, however. Both times I ordered them, there wasn’t any outer packaging, just the manufacturer’s box, which wasn’t even taped shut on the ends. The second set I received was missing parts, which had clearly fallen out of the package during shipping. These dusk to dawn LED solar lights are just what we needed to illuminate along our patio. A few of the lights however turn off several hours before dawn. I have two lights that I haven’t used yet and may switch them out. It could be that the batteries are faulty. Otherwise they illuminate well and look elegant.
