This is my first induction cooktop. Didn’t know what to expect, but I got to say, it is wonderful. It heats quickly and cooks evenly at different temperatures. The controls are easy to see and use. It has different settings, like simmering that works great. I really like the configuration of the controls as well. Did I mention how nice it looks on our counter, picture attached. When I got the cooktop it came with all the necessary instructions and warnings including how not to scratch the ceramic top. Unfortunately the Sand and Stable bath vanities I ordered didn’t include a side splash. They don’t make a side 21” side splash either, so I rolled the dice trying to find a near match for the carrera white quartz vanity. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. The vanity is beautiful and we love it. BUT the delivery was horrible. It was delivered to a neighbor about 4 miles from our house. Thankfully, they drove to our house to let us know where it was and we went and picked it up. Thank God they were honest or the outcome would have been different. Is your electric range's cooktop surface element not performing like it used to? For example, does the element remain cool? Are the contacts on the surface element worn out or blackened? Or is there is rust or corrosion on the coils? Then you may need to replace the surface element itself. The product supplies the heat to a cooking area on top of the electric range. This element has temperature-limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. The number one reason for household fires is cooking-related, so retrofitting with this safety surface element makes sense on a lot of levels. Us regulations require all new coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities. This retrofit replacement element has a silver medallion with a button (sensor) in the center of the coil. This button must contact the bottom of the pan for the thermostat to sense the temperature properly. When the thermostat detects a pan temperature above the safe limit, the element will shut off automatically until a lower, safe pan temperature is reached, then heat will resume to the element. This will not affect everyday cooking, as automatic shutoff is temporary and only happens at very high temperatures.
