The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy leveling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation. A test cap and plugs are included for pressure testing the connection between the rough-in valve and water supply lines.

Beautiful shower but read reviews and watch videos! The shower works perfectly if installed correctly but there are a few steps vital to the installation that are not mentioned. 1. The fittings that go into the plumbing are European and not NPT. They are knuckled and very loose once screwed in. If you try to use plumbers tape the knuckled ridges will tear it off.. You therefore must use pipe sealant (all the reviews describing this step have been taken off, i assume the sites didn't want to promote brands of pipe sealant so I won't include any in the review) or it will leak. The temperature can be adjusted by removing the cap over the thermostat and unscrewing the module. There is a plastic ring with small increments that let you increase the temperature and reposition the module, otherwise you will have a cold shower even if you turn it past the safety zone..
