While this is great for a commercial business, I have been using it as a trash receptacle for my backyard outdoor kitchen. It has been outside 24/7 for the past 3 weeks and has no signs of rust, even after being exposed to rain. Because it is so heavy, at least 50 pounds, I have not had any problems with it blowing away. The lid id somewhat difficult to remove for me,but my husband had no problem getting it off. I was able to find some huge heavy duty trash bags that fit nicely in it. Read the description carefully. I ordered this without reading the color and thought it was white. My pic is deceiving as it looks grey, but it is actually “sand” and true to that color description.
