Redid my whole closet. This was a great buy it makes my closet feel so much more premium now. Wasn’t too hard to set up. Took about 1-2 hrs per shelf installment. Delivery came pretty fast as well. A piece (uneven wooden bar) at base of bookshelf was broken, no instructions were given (their function was unclear, if they were supposed to be legs they would have scratched my floors, it was unfinished plywood). These were expensive and should at least include a sheet with something written in them. I Ended up taking these pieces off with a hammer. The shelves inside of the bookcases were loose inside and moving around during shipment. This scratched some areas of the wood. Hidden areas ( back of shelves and underside of unit) are unfinished. There was fine sawdust, so the whole unit has to be wiped. Other than that it's a sturdy well made unit. I wouldn't say it's solid wood, however it's a good quality plywood. Not so loud you can’t talk when it’s on high. Moves a hell of a lot of air and the lights are something like 4000k bright white and make up for the shadow this big boy creates. You can also point the lights which is a nice touch. Just know this unit DORS NOT have a remote blower like z-line’s website says but is vague about. I was real disappointed but in too much of a hurry to return it. That said it’s not terrible in noise level. I really love the look & feel of this rug and have used it in many designs. I finally got the rug for my own apartment and a few months later spilled water on it. I didn't immediately clean it up since I figured it was just water and it left a discolored brownish stain on the rug. I should have known better being that the rug is Viscose, but I was still very disappointed and ended up replacing the rug. Story behind the art for centuries Tibetans have used rugs for decorative and functional purposes, drawing upon geometric patterns, auspicious symbols, real and mythical animals, and natural imagery to create beautiful, colorful designs. But it was only after 1959 with the Chinese invasion of Tibet and the growth of Tibetan diaspora in Nepal and Tibet that Tibetan rug weaving underwent a crucial commercial revival. In the 1970s, Tibetan rugs rose to prominence and Nepalese artisans, drafted in to keep up with the rising demand, became the mainstay of the Tibetan rug weaving traditions. While either Turkish knot or the Persian knot (Senneh knot) is used to create the pile or depth of a rug in most of Asia, the Tibetan rug utilizes a slit-loop technique called the Tibetan knot. Here rugs are woven by wrapping a continues length of yarn over a rod laid across the warps stretched on the loom. When the rod has been wrapped for its entire length, a knife is slid along the rod, cutting the wrapped yarn into two rows of pile tufts. The resultant pile is a wonderful mix of depth, texture and richness. Traditional Tibetan rug motifs generally reflect the importance of Buddhist religion in Tibetan art and culture. Many design elements of Chinese origin like the phoenix, dragon, and lotus symbols alongside motifs from Chinese decorative tradition have also been assimilated in the rug repertoire of this region. In modern times, designs featured in Tibetan, Nepalese rugs (those woven by Tibetan refugees in Nepal) and Indo-Tibetans (woven in India) range from Westernized adaptations of traditional Tibetan motifs (such as branching floral designs and snow lions) to a large mixture of foreign and modern free-form patterns. Made by skilled craftsman, the rug is a beautiful symphony of bold motifs, stunning colors and consummate artisanship.
