The product is beautiful, but the description reads .75" x .75." My assumption thus that the baluster is square, though it is round. Not my preference. The color and product is beautiful, heavy gauge metal, lovely antique bronze finish. I'm just very surprised that it's round. I couldn't wait for an exchange, so keeping them Very disappointing!. The product is designed to be used with balusters. The pack of 10 mounting clips installs 5 balusters which can be securely placed into wood or composite rails. Each pack includes matching stainless steel screws to fasten balusters.

The product is an exciting new addition to the railing product lineup that provides a clean, strong rail to post connection for wood or composite that aesthetically complements the Fortress Railing Balusters. The bracket is designed to be used with dimensional 2 ft. x 4 ft. or composite 2 ft. x 4 ft. It can accommodate up to 45°s for stair applications as well.

Use these connectors to install Deckorators® Classic round aluminum balusters in a deck or porch railing. The connectors make balusters installation easier and faster. This economy pack of 200 Connectors is enough to install 100 Classic balusters. To use, screw connectors onto top and bottom rails, and fit balusters over the connectors. The connector is almost completely hidden inside the baluster. Do not use on stair railings. For stairs, use Deckorators Classic Baluster Stair Connectors (part #74817).
