This bed is absolutely beautiful and looks amazing in our bedroom! We purchased the king-size version, and our room is very large. Surprisingly, the bed almost looks like a full-size bed because of how spacious the room is. If you have a large bedroom and have been debating whether to upgrade to a king-size bed, consider this your sign to do it! Assembly was the only challenging part. It took about two hours to put together, and this is definitely a two-person job. There are quite a few slats that need to be installed, so be prepared to spend some time assembling it. However, once everything was put together, it was completely worth it. The bed feels very sturdy, looks high-end, and paired with our mattress, it is beyond comfortable. Your average cheap mattress, definitely much less supportive and not as firm as your typical firm mattress, but as to be expected for the price. Doesn’t fluff up evenly or as nicely as you’d think if you’ve ever bought a quality bagged mattress you know what I mean. I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. It’ll take some getting used to but the aesthetics are pleasing to my eyes. I went from dark cherry finish with box springs down to a distressed white platform bed. I can’t stop looking at it every time I walk into my room! Disclaimer It took 2 people approx 3 hours to assemble. If you’re doing it by yourself it’ll take much longer. It’s easier with at least 2 people and (if you’re the 2nd person go ahead and find you an allen wrench, it’ll go by faster than our 3 hours).
