(The only reason for a 4-star rating is due to the plastic hose and handwand. All other aspects are a strong 5-star!) The handheld shower unit came with a plastic hose, which I immediately replaced. I am sure the plastic one would have worked well, but the metal replacement looks much better and will last longer. Update on previous review: We have enjoyed this shower system for 3 months and it has been amazing! The water pressure and flow is excellent - much better than expected. The upper head has 2 settings: rain and typical spray. The rain setting is very soothing and soft. The typical spray setting provides a lot of water at great pressure. As noted above I replaced the plastic hose with stainless steel hose. That has worked well. In addition, I actually replaced the hand wand with a Moen unit and prefer it over the one that came standard. (The Moen unit has additional spray settings that the standard unit lacked) The controls on the system are excellent, allowing temperature control on one stalk and water distribution on the other. I really like the ability to set temperature independent of the "on/off" valve. I also love the surface mounted aspect of the system. Not only is it attactive, but this design will make servicing it much easier should an issue arise. Our plumbers commented on the quality of the unit and how easy it was to install. We have been very happy with this shower door. The matte black finish looks great and gives our bathroom a clean, modern look. The glass feels sturdy and well-made, and door slides smoothly. Installation was fairly straightforward, but I would definitely recommend having two people for the job due to the weight of the glass panels. One of the features we were most interested in was the nano-coated glass, and it has not disappointed. We have hard water, yet the glass has stayed surprisingly clean and easy to maintain. We also haven’t experienced any leaks since installation. Overall, this shower door looks fantastic, functions exactly as it should, and has been a great addition to our bathroom. This looks really good, and I am excited to have a one piece shower base so I no longer have to worry about water leakage. One thing I am pretty disappointed about is that the shower base is super slick when wet. We will have to find a way to make it less slippery without changing the way it looks.
