The Azores 32.5" Table Lamp has a body covered in woven water hyacinth that has a light white wash over the natural material. This is one of our sustainably inspired offerings because the plant grows naturally in Vietnam in the streams, and people harvest it to make baskets. Because it grows wild and voraciously, removing the plants keeps the streams from clogging. Design details of note are how the water hyacinth is woven in different directions and the matching finial. Dramatic and divine was the buzz we heard at market regarding our Milan lamp. The rectangular acrylic lamp body is contrasted with panels front and back against acrylic side panels. Accented with finished metal 'campaign style' corner braces, the lamp rests on a rectangular acrylic base (9" x 6"). The finishing touch is a round ribbed shaped finished metal finial.

The Daphne table lamp looks as if it is made of one material in two distinctive finishes but the base is made of wood while the other elements on the navy-blue table lamp are made of iron and brass. The shape of the shade with its painted gold trim is a design detail, as is the gold finish on the interior of the shade that will warm the light bouncing off it.

Ian Thornton designed the Mithra brass table lamp with its powerful brutalist profile. The cast aluminum lamp has all of the attributes that make foundry pieces so special, such as the drifts of stippling on the metal's surface. Inspired by his days in Florida where banks of Mangrove proliferate, Ian Thornton designed a Mangrove floor lamp. Made of cast aluminum in a bronze finish, he created the base detail in the shape of the plant's roots and gave it a knotty surface like the real plant. To enhance the texture, he chose a grasscloth shade to top the composition. The stems that arch up toward the shade are cleverly balanced with the shape of the base.

Yes, this lamp is expensive, but yes, it’s FABULOUS! Purchased two for bedroom nightstands and I couldn’t be happier. They were very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The light ivory shade is also perfect and the top crystal ball tightens down nicely so the shade doesn’t spin around. Another lamp on the Perigold/Wayfair site by Robert Abbey looks very similar and the same price as this one, however, in reading the reviews for the other lamp, the top crystal piece that holds the shade in place doesn’t screw down tightly and just spins around; thus making the shade also move. This lamp has a 3-way switch, so it looks gorgeous with the dimmest setting, but brightness can be increased with just a turn of the switch. The Lohn floor lamp has subtle ornamentations on its thin stem: up-turned fluted motifs point toward the beige poplin shade while down-turned accents point toward the simple stacked base. These elements on this black floor lamp are fashioned from cast iron in a molé black finish.

It's a traditional/conservative design with medium-sized proportions, which is perfect for our space. It's solid/heavy and well-made, and casts a lovely glow in a transitional space in any of its three brightness settings (shade is elegant when lit).
