Our quilted blankets weigh heavier than a normal blanket. Its weight ranges from 12 lbs. to 35 lbs. The pressure from the weight provides an effect called "deep pressure touch stimulation", which increases melatonin and serotonin production in the body. Those hormones are essential in helping people calm down and fall asleep. This is how a weighted blanket provides better sleep. For people who suffer from anxiety, insomnia, and autism, this is a dream come true for the best sleep of their lives.
The blanket is great. Not too warm, and the weight stays evenly distributed, so the bed looks neat when made, and it's easy to change position at night.
On the other hand, I ordered a bedspread at the same time. They sent me the wrong size FIVE (yes, five!) times in a row. Each time, they'd tell me to hold onto the wrong one and they'd let me know if I needed to return it. So I was storing their stock for free for months, then when I decided I was no longer willing to waste time on the continued incompetence, they demanded I package up all five, my time, my packing materials, my printer ink, just to be refunded the amount for the original item. No apology. No escalation to management despite my request. No indication that this incompetence isn't rampant and standard. So, I don't expect to deal with this company again. When you mess up that badly, you really have to work hard to make it right. Zero effort here.
