The fan works well. I was surprised that the wall switch is powered by batteries rather than being wired in. While that may be a benefit for some people, it required a second hole to be made in my wall. On top of that, my workman didn't consider the placement of the switch as esthetically as I would have preferred when he cut the hole for it. The room this going in is quite low, so we needed to ensure the fan was very low profile. The configuration of the room would definitely benefit from a fan as right now it has 25+ year old contractor special fixture. This is definitely modern, the blades are clear, and very low profile. I have received this and will read the instructions for installing. The light is nice, modern and simple. It has multiple functions and I think it will serve its purpose well.
