It took two people about 4 hours to complete the installation, and the instructions were easy to follow. All of the parts were well packaged and arrived in good condition. It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. These pergolas up-leveled my small back patio. I ordered two and I am very pleased with the look, ease of assembly (you need two people), and quality. The actual dimensions are closer to 9x9, so measure accordingly. I had to use two panels to screen an unsightly view, and I am awaiting delivery of two more panels. I love the pattern of light filtered through the panels. For me, this was a perfect solution. I assembled with my BF in about 2.5 hours. The challenging part was the tight space we had to work. One year ago I bought a cheaper pergola from another company; it had the nylon roof you pull back with a cord, no side screens available. The roof was flimsy and noisy whenever there was a breeze, and if you forgot to close it tight before a rain, the weight of the water was going to tear it . It actually wasn’t 10x10 as advertised, maybe 9x9, and the sun came under the east & west sides, no you were seldom shielded from the sun. So I tried Wayfair after noticing my neighbor’s, got the same one only I ordered the pulldown screens for 2 sides. It also has a louvered metal roof ( huge improvement), we love it! After much research for a grilling station, I think we selected the perfect one. We couldn’t be more happy. It took almost 4 weeks to deliver, which came together in three boxes. Everything was well packed and marked. The instructions were clear and we had no issues with holes lining up. My husband did decide to use longer bolts to secure the structure to the concrete stamped patio but just for extra precaution since we live on water and experience a lot of high winds. We had steady 35mph winds with 40-50 mph gusts other day and no issues at all. It took us a day, or about 7-8 hrs to build. Definitely need two people, and a third is even better.
