This trash bin does have the promised soft close foot pedal and it's nice that it comes with extra bags. It fits the aesthetic of my bathroom with brass fittings without having the entire can be gold-colored. My two gripes with this trash can are 1. It feels relatively flimsy compared to stainless steel bathroom trash cans I've had in the past and 2. The texture of the gold paint on the trash can trim is not very smooth. At this price point, a Kohler or simple human bathroom step trash can are a lot better value. We use our fireplace a lot and care a lot about the aesthetic- we like the black and dark gray granite theme. We previously had this old silver bucket that looked very tarnished and beat up, so this sleek and shiny new matte black bucket is just absolutely perfect for the look we are going for and it now even matches the fireplace tools that sit next to it. The one thing that was better about our old bucket was that when you turn the lid- it would secure so that you could lift the whole bucket from just the lid.
