I took a gamble on this rug because there weren't many reviews and I find it SO hard to be able to gauge how a rug will actually look when buying online. Gamble paid off- it's GREAT! The colors are subtle but are not boring in the slightest. I chose this rug because of the burnt orange in it and wanted to compliment the color of the brick chimney in our room. It worked perfectly without being too much. It is almost silky to the touch when walking which was a complete surprise. It's a very low pile, but that's what we wanted for the kitchen. I added a thin pad to it which gave it a little bit of softness but also allowed it to remain laying very flat (the corners took a few days). No bunching or rolling up or tripping! Though the base is definitely more of a green color as my hopes are coming through, I have navy blue chairs with wood floors, and it pulls colors from all of its surroundings. Blues, yellows grays, different shades of beige. The green is very obvious, but I feel it is very chameleon like for the colors that pop out of the rug on your surroundings.
