There’s more on some than others, but it’s a significant amount of work to wash it off thoroughly. I’m using these for food storage, so I have to do the cleaning. From reading online, the residue is likely from metal polish I wish the manufacturer did a better job removing this before shipping. Aside from that, I’m very happy with them.
