Bought this ceiling fan for my parents to replace an older ceiling fan that provided very little light. I primarily wanted to solve the lighting issue in a room that had dim areas that needed more light but still wanted a fan to move air. I’m disappointed in this lamp. It is gorgeous, but not able to be used as intended because it will not stand up on its own. I feel that because the lampshade is made of iron, it is too heavy for the pole. The base is heavy marble but still not heavy enough to keep the lamp upright.
