We recently selected this shower door for a bathroom refresh. We didn't want to do custom glass in this kids bathroom, and opted to save a bit and go with a premade frameless shower door. The quality of the materials is exceptional for our needs here! Achieving a "high-end" look often comes down to the weight and finish of the hardware, and this door delivers on both counts. The brass finish is sophisticated and has a beautiful, soft luster. It isn't that overly shiny "fake" gold. The hinges feel substantial and provide a smooth, heavy inswing and outswing. The 3/8" tempered glass is crystal clear. It makes the entire bathroom feel much larger and more open, which is exactly the "airy" vibe I was going for. Because this is a frameless design, precision is key. The wall hinges are sturdy and the seal is tight, preventing any water leakage without needing bulky metal framing. Our tub arrived yesterday in perfect condition! The crate it arrived in was substantial, and the packaging was secure. My husband and I used a furniture dolly (rolling platform) to move it into our bathroom, and it went very well. It helped that the 29” width fit through our 30” doorways. Of course, there is no overflow drain, so if that is a concern, do not order this tub. But I am extremely pleased with the tub so far! Im excited to post a photo of the project once it is complete. Update We installed the tub, and I’m extremely pleased with the way it turned out! The install was tricky for my husband and I to maneuver, as we didn’t hire an outside contractors. This was a reorder because the first tub I ordered came damaged. When I called there were no more in stock so I had to get this one. Because my master bath was in middle of remodel I asked them to expedite. We have different definitions as it was estimated to take 3 weeks for delivery and I only lived 100 miles from the manufacturer. So Wayfair at least got this set up as a willcall at the manufacturer and I made the 4 hour round trip to get it myself. The CHI acrylic Undermount tub from Valley Acrylic is attractive, durable, functional, and easy to install. Valley Acrylic tubs are built using a proprietary layering technology to reinforce and insulate the tubs far better than other tubs available today. The process starts with a heavy acrylic sheet with a resin and fiberglass mixture backing then a thick layer of real Canadian wood is applied to the tub which is then coated with another layer of the proprietary resin. This gives the tub better heat retention and insulation than another acrylic, gel coat, or steel tub products on the market while giving unparalleled strength and rigidity. The proprietary layered technology insulates the tub rather than absorbing heat from the water like cast iron which saves energy and water by retaining more heat and making the addition of hot water less frequently to maintain a warm bath. It’s a lovely loveseat and I’m very happy with the quality and fabric. However, 99% of the reason I ordered this loveseat was because the description said the seat height was 20.5”. I got rid of my last loveseat because it was only 16” off the ground and getting harder and harder to get up from! Nowhere on your site did I see “measurements are approximate” or anything of that nature (did I miss it?). The seat height is actually 18” and I can’t tell you how many other 18” loveseats I passed by – and a lot of them were a lot cheaper – but went with the more expensive one because I wanted that extra seat height! So I’m pretty disappointed by this - not disappointed enough to pay to return it (if that was even an option, which I doubt) but I feel a bit hoodwinked by Wayfair. Just sayin’.. Janet. Boston, MA.
