Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. I’ve been using much cheaper lights that can run in a series (think shop lights but a bit stronger). This blows them out of the water in intensity. It covers a full 1020 tray of seedlings and burnt a few of them when o wasn’t careful. Luckily it can be dialed back or raised or lowered. I will still use my old lights but for my sun loving seedlings that I start indoors this one is better. It’s expensive so I’ll never buy a ton of them but it has its place and is high quality..
