This was simple to install. They try to make it easy to install by yourself but I required help lifting this up the ladder from my husband. I had difficulty placing all the items in screw it all up so you have to find the perfect positioning to make it work. We really like that it comes with a remote. We also had to change out our dimmer to a regular switch because it’s messes with light and makes it flicker but that’s what the remote is for. One thing I’m not so sure about is the LED. The description for this product is dishonest and inaccurate. The product description says it's a "Smart fan". This was an explicit requirement I had for purchasing this fan. After having the fan installed buy an electrician and downloading the app I am prompted to pay $4.99 weekly or $29.99 yearly to control the phone using the app. None of this is disclosed in the product description. There is a button in the app to "continue to limited version" which is supposedly free but there is no free version. It simply sends you in an endless loop where you are prompted to pay them to use the app. The manufacturer and product listing are dishonest and you're asking for trouble purchasing this fan. If you lose the remote or the remote brakes, you lose all ability to control the light or the fan. That was the entire purpose of purchasing a smart enabled fan so that if something happened to the remote it doesn't brick the device. This is outright fraud. Do not trust this listing.. Christian. We receive our 52” fan well packaged. It took a little longer for delivery because of some kind of mix up but after talking to customer service from Wayfair the problem was taken care immediately. You can’t beat Wayfairs customer service. We have not been able to install this fan yet, so I will update later. It appears to be very nice with a lot of nice features. I think it being a smart fan will make it convenient. Update. This fan would not work with two different down-rods we bought so we decided to hang it with the shorter one it came with. We think it will be ok and looks good. We finally got this fan up and we really like it . The aged pewter with the gray blades look beautiful. The light will go nice and bright or a low light. It has up to six speeds and is very quiet. It comes with a remote and we had no problem hooking it up to our phone and google assistant. So convenient using the google assistant with it. Houston we had a problem. Nothing to do with the fan but when installing my back went out so here it is. Everything went together fine but I was unable to finish the install.
